Canfor Pulp to increase NBSK pulp list prices for China, North America

Canfor Pulp Products will increase its NBSK pulp list prices to China and North America as of April 2021.

The company announced the increase in its Q1 2021 financial results, which reported operating income of $4.9 million for Q1 over a posted operating loss of $28.3 million for the fourth quarter of 2020.

The NBSK list prices for China will be US$1,010 per tonne, and for North America, it will be US$1,565 per tonne.

High-yield markets are anticipated to see continued improvement through the second quarter of 2021, largely driven by strong demand for board products, especially in Asia, tempered somewhat by available supply.
